Paintball Team Cyclone was established at late 90's in merge of couple of Finnish rookie paintball teams. The team practised with Kojootit - the best team in Finland at those times and got results in quite a fast pace. In first year in Finnish Championships League at 1997 the team placed 7th but only three years later at 2000 Cyclone was celebrating teams first Finnish Championship.
After the first championship it seemed like there was no team available to stop Cyclone in Finland and in 2000-2005 team won 5 Finnish championships. After Finland was conquered the team started to look for competition from international fields. In seasons 2000-2003 team had some podium places in Millennium Series and many results finishing in top 10 at amateur division.
After finishing 2nd in overall results in Millennium Series Amateur division in year 2003 (?) the next step for the team was to move in to the "big boys" division. For the years 2004 and 2005 the team competed in Open X-ball League and Pro division of Millennium Series and the highlight of those years was the 3rd place in Professional division at 2005 Paris Disney World Cup. In year 2006 Helsinki Cyclone was competing at the highest level of tournament paintball in Europe - the Champions Paintball League. The year was rough and with some bad luck of losing tight games for one point only the overall result was 15th and that meant relegation to the second highest division SPL for the season 2007.
